French Immersion & World Language

Isabelle is a French native and certified, language coach, and a teacher with 15 years of experience in the USA and international schools. She tutors students at the MS, HS / College level, or individual students, young or adults, who are looking to travel in a Francophone country and need to brush up on their French or to learn the basics.
Isabelle’s main focus is to facilitate their learning experience with a student-centered approach. She believes that the best foundation for great teaching is a positive relationship between student and teacher, based on trust, creating an authentic connection and a deeper motivation.

Isabelle’s goal is to engage students in their learning and for them to take risks in a safe learning environment, with consistent and clear expectations, boundaries, and kindness.
She always takes a genuine interest in what matters to them in the context of learning the French language and culture, carefully listening when they speak, and offering feedback and guidance when needed.

Isabelle is known to be very dynamic and a caring person and has taught in the IB French program for 10 years both in Portland and overseas.
